HRC Gives Chrysler Group Perfect Score in Corporate Equality Index
S&L Motors, the leading Chrysler dealer in Green Bay, is happy to announce that based off a report conducted by the Human Rights Commission, HRC, Chrysler Group was named as one of the leading employers to achieve a perfect score, of 100 percent, on HRC’s 2012 Corporate Equality Index, CEI. This is quite a prestigious award for Chrysler Group as it employs a large amount of people worldwide.
For those wondering how the CEI works, it rates corporations based off of their LGBT workplace policies as well as benefits. If a company receives a perfect score, it translates to the fact that, the company at hand provides full parity for domestic partner benefits, not only with respect to medical coverage, but independent care as well. On top of that, retirement and other benefits are included, that affect families’ financial and medical well-being should something ever arise. Chrysler Group’s 100 percent rating also provides coverage for transgender individuals, in the case that they would ever need special treatment, or something along those lines.
Nancy A. Rae, Senior VP for Human Resources for Chrysler Group stated that, “All of our employees at Chrysler contribute to the success of our Company. Chrysler Group prides itself in creating an inclusive business environment in which all people and ideas are appreciated and respected.” Great point by Ms. Rae, good to see a company rewarding their employees for all of the hard work they put in.
In the report itself, it stated that they looked at a wide variety of things. “This year’s CEI also rated businesses’ demonstrated commitment to a robust LGBT organizational competency program that enhances an inclusive work environment, a public commitment to the LGBT community in the form of philanthropy, support for LGBT equality under the law, supplier diversity and other efforts aimed at broadly engaging with our community. LGBT people are an integral part of the American workforce and, similarly, the benefits and protections of employment are crucial to our community as we continue to work for full inclusion.”
