Ram 1500 Getting Pentastar V-6 Next Year

According to various reports, Paolo Ferrero, Chrysler's powertrain chief, has confirmed that the S&L Motors Pulaski Wisconsin Ram1500 Ram 1500 pickup will be getting the all-new 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 in 2012. Here at S&L Motors, we think this is great news that is going to have a lot of people excited. The Pentastar engine is lighter and produces more power – a winning combination when put together with the great Ram truck body. The new motor replaces a 215-hp 3.7-liter V-6 that has been used in the Ram since 2002.

The exact amount of power is not known for the new Ram trucks, but the same engine in the Jeep Grand Cherokee produces 290 hp and 260 pounds-feet of torque. Then again, the same engine in the Challenger produces 305 hp and 268 pounds-feet of torque. It should be interesting to see how many horsepower the new Ram trucks end up with. Whatever the exact number is, it is going to be better than what the Ram truck had. While the previous engine was good for its time, a new engine has been needed for a while.

2011 Dodge CHALLENGER R/T

An almost perfect blend of old and new, the 2011 Dodge Challenger R/T has a lot of people S&L Motors Pulaski Wisconsin Dodge Challenger excited. Ram Truck Rides Into Deadwood

If you haven't seen it yet, the new advertising campaign for Ram trucks is pretty cool. One S&L Motors, Pulaski Wisconsin, Ram Truck features the Ram truck leading a long line of powerful engines in other larger vehicles. The surroundings? Deadwood or an old west town of some sort. There are three other versions of the new Ram commercial in the initial launch of the new campaign.

Here's some of the voiceover text from the commercial.

Ad executives have said that the series of television commercials would continue if consumers found them informative and interesting. The main goal of Ram was to get people to see their vehicles in a new light. If nothing else, the first four commercials have done that at least.

Dodge Grand Caravan, Chrysler Town & Country To Get AWD

Dodge and Chrysler – who basically invented the minivan back in the 1980s – got rid of their all S&L Motors, Pulaski Wisconsin, Grand Caravan wheel drive (AWD) options back in 2004. That upset quite a few people. This was during some rough years for Chrysler. Here at S&L Motors, we understand how it is sometimes. As the premiere Dodge and Chrysler dealer in Pulaski, Wisconsin and surrounding areas, we have a commitment to making sure all of our customers are happy with their vehicle purchase. Now, with the Grand Caravan and Town & Country again having AWD, we are going to have an easier time doing this.

Originally, Dodge got rid of the AWD option to make room under the vehicle for their "stow and go" seats that dropped under the car giving owners a lot more room on the inside for cargo. With competition like the Toyota Sienna and Honda Odyssey, it's going to be interesting to see how well the two new AWD minivans do in the months and years ahead.
