The new 2019 Jeep Cherokee is here in Pulaski, WI, but it comes by way of our neighbors in Illinois at the Belvidere Assembly Plant. Judging from how often you see new Jeep Cherokee SUVs on the streets of Green Bay, Ashwaubenon, Howard, and just about all of Wisconsin, the new Jeep Cherokee looks pretty popular. It turns out that's just a small sampling of the SUV's popularity.
The Illinois assembly plant recently completed their 300,000th new Jeep Cherokee SUV since they started production a little over a year ago. If you want an idea of what 300,000 Jeep Cherokee SUVs might look like, just imagine that everyone in Green Bay had three of them.
Congratulations to the team at the Belvidere (Illinois) Assembly Plant who are celebrating the 300,000th @Jeep® #Cherokee built at their facility since production started in June 2017 after a $350 million investment. pic.twitter.com/pJ1CVISUyO

That's not just great news for all us Jeep SUV enthusiasts, it's great news for the whole region--the plant pumps hundreds of millions of dollars and thousands of jobs into the Lake Michigan area. So, if you're a fan of the new Jeep Cherokee SUV and supporting our local economy, be sure to thank our friends just a few hours south down I-94.
